Family Tree Private School was established by Bob and Nancy Moral in 1999 though Family Tree Ministries. The school’s mission is to promote a Biblical foundation to life and learning and develop life skills.
JOIN THE FAMILY! Private School Enrollment for K-12 Florida Residents and homeschoolers nation wide.
At Family Tree, we believe it is a parent’s God given right and duty to exercise judgment and control over the personal and social goals of their children, the skills which they should learn, the childhood experiences which they should enjoy, and the community resources on which they should draw. We invite all to enroll whether “churched” or not.
A LITTLE HISTORY
Many people are becoming more and more excited about a “parent directed” education model of schooling instead of a teacher centered, single classroom type education! This term, “parent directed” was first introduced by the director of Family Tree Private School at a Florida senate education sub-committee in the 1990’s, and has since been adopted in many public and governmental policies to formally describe education in our “type” of school.
Parent directed education, known as homeschooling has been practiced by families registered in private schools for years. In 1985 though, the Florida legislature allowed students to register with the state as publicly enrolled “homeschoolers”, yet many private schools remained open to serve families directing the education for their children. That’s what Family Tree Private School is!
Students enrolled in Family Tree Private School are schooled under a “parent directed education model”, or “homescooling model”, but are NOT considered “homeschoolers” as defined in the 85 law. For all intents and purposes of the law, our students are 100% private school students. Our students may join homeschool support groups for activities and are strongly encouraged to do so while registered in Family Tree. We support high quality academics, and require the appropriate type of testing, personalized or standardized testing for graduation

Family Tree Ministries
Family Tree Ministries, Inc. is a 501 c3 organization established by Bob and Nancy Moral in 1999.
There seems to be a standing criticism of organizations keeping a 501 c 3 status, and I honestly had not heard of it until many years after forming Family Tree Ministries. When I first heard that there may be shame in registering as a 501c3 I felt like Eve before the fall when she did not know she was naked until she was told she was!
The criticism goes something like this: You want the tax breaks offered to your 501c3 AT THE EXPENSE of being politically active – speaking out against tyranny and defending life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is Not true with me or Family Tree Ministries. In fact, it is my duty to NOT be silent politically. So, in essence critics say that we are willing to “hold back” and not speak out in order to gain the benefit of a “tax write off”. Nothing can be further from the truth for Family Tree Ministries.
My understanding has always been (when I obtained our 501c3) that I am advertising my position that I support a Biblical World view and the Bible’s definition of a true leader. I believe that my association with this 501 c 3 shows my willingness to make it a public priority to NOT be silent about my bias politically. I Will and Do support specific candidates, naming them . I also support causes that promote a Biblical foundation to life and learning (part of our mission statement). I will continue to support causes and persons that teach and support our freedoms, a Biblical World view and programs that educate and inform those whom we serve.
In 1999 the original documents sent to IRS to obtain our 501c3 stated that we will speak out and endorse activities, including specific public figures and causes that promote a Biblical Foundation to Life and Learning. We will openly promote a Biblical world view, and those that promote a Biblical world view, and we will seek to be politically active, praising specific candidates that espouse issues supporting Biblical truths, quality education and Constitutional freedoms.
