  • 2010 to 2014 – Research and Training Specialist for the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement, Bureau of Training 2331 Philips Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32302. I wrote curriculum, examined legislation for course updates, organized and conduct workshops with Subject Matter Experts, conducted statewide testing sessions and developed distance learning courses.
  • 2007 – 2010 – Scholarship Coordinator II/Career Advisor/Adjunct Professor for Palm Beach State College, 812 Fern St., West Palm Beach, FL 33414. I validated criteria for educational scholarships, processed contracts and consulted with directors and practitioners of child care centers to participate in a Quality Improvement System (adopted statewide). I participated in computer testing and programming and taught the Educational Technology for the Florida Teacher Certification Program for the college.
  • 2002 to 2014 (part-time) – Consultant for Exceptional Student Educational (ESE) for Wellington Christian School, Florida 1000 Wellington Trace, Wellington, FL 33414. I participated in staffing decisions and managed online compliance issues for a state scholarship for students with disabilities. I developed the school’s special education program.
  • 1999 to present (currently volunteering) – Principal/Director for Family Tree Ministries/ Private School, an accredited K-12, non-traditional private school for homeschooling families. I developed this statewide program for regular education students, and students with disabilities in a parent directed model. I created databases, transcripts, executed vendor contracts, and established policies and inter-agency articulation agreements between educational institutions and government entities.
  • 1985 – 2007 – Director/Secretary/Treasurer for Family Owned Businesses – (part time) Family Tree Service – 20 yrs., Action Adventure Games – 2 yrs. South Florida. I was responsible for initial business filings, bookkeeping, taxes, office management, customer service, human resources, and technology.
  • 1985 – 1999 ESE Classroom Teacher and ESE Specialist My experience as a classroom teacher includes teaching students with varying exceptionalities at different posts including in self-contained classrooms for students with severe emotional disturbances. I conducted evaluations, held multi-disciplinary meetings for education plans and directed placement services. Assignments included: 1985-1987 Sunset Learning Center, Fort Lauderdale, FL; 1988-1989 Bertha Abbess Children’s Center at Miami Park Elementary School, FL; 1989-1990 Cross Creek School, Cross Creek, FL; 1991-1992 Whispering Pines Elementary, Davie, FL; 1993-1995 Ahfachkee Elementary School at the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Big Cypress Indian Reservation; 1995-1997 Hallandale Adult and Community Center, Hallandale, FL; and Miramar Elementary School 1997-1999 Miramar, FL (The last two locations I served as an ESE Specialist).
