Earn College Credit as an “Adult Homeschooler”!

An individual may earn college credit by passing a test for each course. Though these credits can be used toward graduation, most colleges require you earn at least 21 of your total credits from their school, to be awarded their diploma.  Still, you may earn the majority of your college credits as a adult homeschooler.  You would need to pass an exam in the course for which you want the credit. This is called “credit by examination”.

You earn credit for a course by successfully completing a “Dantes” exam – known as DSST exam – Dantes Subject Standardized Test.

What are Dantes Exams?

“Recommended for credit by the American Council on Education (ACE), the 38 subject-level exams are offered in diverse disciplines and cover upper and lower-level baccalaureate credit courses. Thousands of colleges and universities recognize and recommend DSST exams for credit to students of all kind, from adult learners to returning veterans!”
